In 2008, a group of sports enthusiasts in the Mohawk Valley came together to discuss how to help take the development of soccer in the region to the next level and as a result, Mohawk Valley United Soccer Club was born. In the summer of 2009, Mohawk Valley United will compete in a series of exhibition matches with home games being played at Wehrum Stadium on the Herkimer County Community College (HCCC) campus.
